How it began...
In the summer of 2018 my wife created a starter and was heading down the somewhat obsessive path of making sourdough bread. She was using a safety razor on a wooden coffee stirrer to score the dough. Not knowing anything about scoring or bread, I decided to make something better for her to use.
I was determined to create a lame as small and light as possible. Almost immediately, the idea of a circular lame came to me, and the UFO was born. She said, "hey, that's cool, why don't you try to sell them." And the rest is history.
This all started in a 7' x 13' basement room in Brooklyn, NY and we are now in Connecticut and have a proper shop for manufacturing. We are a very small veteran owned business, pay fare wages and don't use chemicals or plastics.
Thanks for stopping by!
